Prior to forming Halpern, Denny & Co., Mr. Halpern was a founder and the second largest shareholder of Bain & Company and served as its Vice Chairman until 1990.

For 15 years, he was Director of North American client development and strategy, and he personally advised the chief executives of many Fortune 100 companies. During this period, Bain & Company grew at a 30% annual rate of more than $200 million in consulting revenue and developed a unique reputation for a practical, hands-on approach to business transformation. This approach also spawned two Bain investment companies, Bain Capital and Bain Holdings, which generated high investor returns.

Prior to the formation of Bain & Company, Mr. Halpern was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group.

Mr. Halpern is a graduate of Yale University, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Prior to forming Halpern, Denny & Co., Mr. Denny was the Managing Director for Bain Holdings, an investment partnership formed by Bain & Company.

Joining Bain in 1974, he was a Director of the firm and headed its San Francisco and Tokyo offices. He also personally advised a number of Fortune 500 chief executive officers and was particularly involved with Bain's distribution, manufacturing and M&A practices.

Prior to joining Bain & Company, Mr. Denny worked at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company and served on the finance faculty of the Harvard Business School.  

Mr. Denny is a graduate of Harvard College and received his M.B.A. as a Baker Scholar from the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Denny serves on the Board of Directors for Appleseed's, All Seasons Services, Heartlab, Windward Petroleum and Decision Management International.

Prior to forming Halpern, Denny & Co., Mr. LaPoint was a consultant at Bain & Company, with a particular expertise in manufacturing/operations and financial analysis.

At Bain, he led teams that worked in the lodging, healthcare, distribution and paper and plastic manufacturing industries. Prior to Bain, he was a production and operations manager at Procter & Gamble Company.

Mr. LaPoint is an honors graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Chemical Engineering and received his M.B.A. as a Baker Scholar from the Harvard Business School.

Mr. LaPoint serves on the Board of Directors for Team Express, Beacon Hospice, Appleseed's, Windward Petroleum, EnduraCare Therapy Management, and OnCURE Medical Corp. Mr. LaPoint previously served on the board of Physician’s Dialysis and Bridge Medical.

Prior to joining Halpern, Denny & Co. in 1997, Mr. Nimmo was a partner at Cornerstone Equity Investors, L.L.C. and its predecessor firm, Prudential Equity Investors, Inc. where he was responsible for investments in the retail and consumer products sectors.

Prior to joining Prudential Equity Investors in 1989, he spent ten years with J.P. Morgan & Company with assignments in capital markets, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Nimmo is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth.

Mr. Nimmo serves on the Board of Directors for Tealuxe and Ecce Panis.
